At the park

Tonight we took the boys to the park for dinner and then let them play on the jungle gym. Here's just a few pictures of our night.

Connor wasn't so thrilled to hang on the monkey bars.

Practice Makes Perfect.

Yesterday the twins got ahold of my point and shoot and these are some of the pictures I found on the camera. They need a little more practice before I will hire them out.

Disclaim: sorry the room is so messy, I don't get in there to clean very often.

Kite Flying

On Memorial Day, after we got home for the family cook out, Brendan got out the kite. He did a great job of working with the twins to get the kite off the ground. They had a great time until the dog got cought in the string and broke it.

Wedding Bells are coming.

During the first week of school last fall, Brendan came home one day and proudly exclaimed that his teacher was going to get married. Then he explained that Mr. John had come to the class room and asked all the kids to help out when he asked Miss DeWeerd to marry him. How exciting it was for the class to be involved with this.

A couple of months ago a note came home from Miss DeWeerd asking if the kids would be interested in singing at their wedding. Again Brendan was filled with joy; he was going to sing at Miss DeWeerd and John's wedding!!!

then last week Saturday we got an invitation in the mail. Brendan got mail!!!! He was getting to go to Miss DeWeerd's Wedding and there are going to be a cupcake reception after the wedding....again super excited.

This all lead up to the really reason for the post. Yesterday we had a wedding shower at school for Miss DeWeerd. The kids played a game trying to guess what kitchen thing for in a bag. Miss DeWeerd opened gifts. We ate cake. We finished the party with each of the kids making part of a book for Miss DeWeerd and John about what ever good husband/wive must do.

Brendan is so excited for Miss DeWeerd and John's Wedding. Until then I hope that Miss DeWeerd can enjoy the rest of the school year and finish up on the last minute details of the wedding. Congrats!!!!

fuzzy cueballs

This is what happen when I was on the phone with my mom today.
" We're very very sorry mom and we won't do it again."

Austin wouldn't even look at the camera, if that doesn't say GUILTY then I don't know what does.

AFTER THE HAIR CUT:

now the twins are fuzzy cue balls. I am so glad that I haven't made an appointment for the family picture yet. I guess that will have to wait a couple of months.
Lucas

Austin wouldn't let me take a picture of him.

Tulips & Kids

We {HEART} bubbles

Bubbles are a special thing we do at Grama & Grandpa's Van Dam' house. (I'm sorry about bubbles are too messy for me and the boys spill more bubble than what get blown, so I just don't do bubbles. ) and I love to take pics of bubble blowing. Here's some pictures from today.

Happy Mother's Day

I am so blessed to be a mom to these four amazing boys. I love them so much; their hugs & kisses, their stories, their laughs, their cries. and their special ways of saying "I love You"

I couldn't ask for anything more.

Post Family Farms - Preschool Field Trip

On Thursday, Austin and Lucas had a field trip to Post Family Farms. It was the first field trip that the twins got to take a school bus. They were sooooo excited to ride the bus. I hope they like it as much when they have to ride it every day to school.

waiting to get on the bus.

the boys loved looking out side window on the bus.

Donuts
The donuts at Post Family Farms are the best!!!!! They were homemade still a tad-bit warm, with a crunch to them and covered with glaze. YUM, so good.

The Farmer Bill Story
After the donuts, the kids listened to a story about Spring on Farmer Bill's Farm. They each got to help out with the story by putting different farm items on the story board.
The Straw Maze and Pumpkin Train
Next we ventured outside to the maze made out of roll straw bales and then had a ride on the Pumpkin Train.
While we were here, we tried to get a class picture. It's not so bad, just a bit dark.

Joy with Tembo.

The Animals
After a fun ride on the pumpkin train, we got to see some animals, that's what farms are all about, right?

The kids getting instructions about the rabits
Petting the rabbits

The GreenHouse
Inside the Greenhouse, the kids got to plant a flower to take home for their moms.

the flowers
filling the "pots" with dirtthe final product, it's so bad. :O)
The HayRide
the last thing was a hayride. We had to put on our ISPY glasses to see if we could find mommy and daddy duck with their babies, a mommy and daddy geese with their babies, and the bee hive.

Juliet & Connor

A few weeks ago, the Dieleman kids spent the tonight by our house. Connor was jealous when I had Juliet in my arms, but absolutely loved her when they were eating supper, hence the pictures.

So does Connor like the younger ladies, better? Maybe. :)

New Bike Helmet

A few weeks ago, Connor and I were shopping at Target and I thought he should have a bike helmet. He wanted the Sesame Street one, so that what he got. He was so excited about it that he wore it around the house for two whole days. Now I just have to get him on a bike. :)
