Last night Josh and Jamie were so kind and invited our small group over to the pool. The kids had a blast. It was a great time for all; lots of great food, laughter from the kiddos and good conversation for the adults. Thanks again for having us over!!!!! My kids will be talking about it for the next couple weeks. :)

Slip N Slide - a bit of relief from the 90 degree weather
Sports Camp "The Armor of God" aka VBS
This past week, we had Sports Camp at our church; that our church's verison of VBS. This year's theme was "The Armor of God." The boys had tons of fun, even if it was the hottest week of the year so far. I would like to give a shout out to fellow blogger Sonny for all the hard work and time that she put into Sports Camp again this year. The boys are still talking about it.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Quist
Last Friday night, Brendan and his class got the opportunity to sing in his teacher's wedding. It's been so exciting for theses kids to be so involved in the whole wedding thing; first helping out with the proposal, then the wedding shower, and finally the wedding.
We arrived at the church at 4:30 to practice. They sang "How Great is our God", and they did sooooo good. What a blessing Miss DeWeerd has been this year. Brendan has loved having her as his teacher; and he thinks it's so cool that they will be the only class that will know her as Miss DeWeerd instead of Mrs. Quist.
Congratulations Mrs. Quist!!!!!

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. We started our Father's Day parties at Holland State Park last night, we were there with my family. The boys had so much fun played in the sand and playing with their cousins. Then today we were low key this noon; the boys got Mike a super soaker type gun water for Father's day (of course they had to get themselves got water guns too.), so they all had to try out their guns today. Finally tonight Mike's family came out to our house for dinner over the campfire. All and all it was a great day.
We are so blessed to have such great fathers, who are godly examples for both us and our boys. Thanks you dads the things you do for us, the prayers you pray for us, and the advice you give us. We appreciate it more than you will ever know.
and I would like to thank Mike for being a wonderful father to our boys. Thanks you for loving them, helping them, and teaching them. I am so grateful to you for everything you do for them.
and finally what you are all waiting for - the pictures from today. (sorry that Connor's in his boxers and wifebeater)

Twins singing in Church
This past Sunday, the twins got to sing in front of church. I knew going into it that Austin wouldn't sing, and was hoping he would at least go up and act half way normal. Lucas was so excited about bring up in front of church and being able to sing, so when we got to church and Lucas started crying I was shocked.
But after he got over his crying spell, He did a great job.

Farm boys
Being a farming family you would think that I have tons of pictures with my kids in tractors, by cows and anything else that has to do with farming....but I don't. Mike actually doesn't do much cropping at this farm. Mike pretty much buys all the field for the cows on this farm. So when Mike actually does get into a tractor, the boys get soooooo excited and can't wait to ride with him. Well last night was one of those nights. Last fall, they planted winter rye in the field and it needed to be cut down so they could chop it today.
