Freeport Homecoming

August 3 and 4 was Freeport Homecoming....it's a local festival in our small town.  We went to the festival on Saturday, starting with a pancake breakfast, then walking through town to see the car show and then a parade, complete with candy.  Good Times!!!

Mini Golf

While camping at Gun Lake, my Father in Law took all the boys mini-golfing....my four plus my two nephews.  This was chaos as it's best!!! 

Camping over the 4th

I'm finally catching you all up on what we did the month of July.  It started with camping over the 4th with my parents at Oak Grove in Holland.  We spent most of the week in the pool as it was super hot and don't gasp but we didn't have AC in the trailer.  We took bike rides to the state park, we ate ice cream, and saw amazing fireworks.  It was a fun week...the boys actually liked the pool so much more than the beach...not me.

On the 4th July, we headed to Oversiel with the DeWeerdts for one great fireworks show. 

Lunch on Mackinaw Island

Last Wednesday, Mike & I and my parents flew to Mackinaw Island for lunch.  My dad just got a different plane and I missed out on our annual father/daughter flight on Memorial Day.  It was a fun, the flight was pretty smooth and it only took about 1 1/2 hours to get to the island.    After we to the island we walked about 1.5 miles from the airport to the main town area.  Then we had lunch and walked around and shopped...can't go to the island and not get some fudge.  Then it was time to head back home.  Unfortunately the flight took almost twice as long on the way back home and the boys missed out on part of their sport camps that night.
