Birthday Party #1

On Saturday night, we meet G & G  VD for supper at Red Robins in Grandville.  When we got there, we were told there would be a hour wait, I did sign us in but headed over to Applebee's to see if the wait would be any less.  Unfortunately it wasn't and Lucas really wanted to eat at Red Robin, so we waited.  About 25 minutes later our name was called and we got seated...not too bad if you ask me.  Dinner was ordered and then the presents were opened.  The boys got new Red Wings shirts and GCs to Barnes and Noble for new books.  

Enjoy some icecream after the waiters sang to the boys.

While going through old picture looking for the twin's bday pictures I cam across these beauties. :) 

Happy 8

March 8 was the twin's golden birthday.  Seeing how Mike was out of the country, we didn't have a normal birthday celebration instead I made the boys a dinner of their choice and called it good.  

The boys picked Butterfly pasta with white sauce, garlic bread, homemade applesauce and Oreo fluff complete with candles.

 Brendan was so sweet...he made these little post-its for the twins.

A trip down the birthday lane

Today is Austin and Lucas' birthday.  They are so excited they get to celebrate their golden birthday today...even though if you would ask them they're not sure what a golden birthday is,  HA!!!  Anyway, we have lots of birthday celebrations lined up for the next couple weeks seeing how Mike is town of the country.  Until I have pictures of the parties, I thought I would take you to birthdays past.  ENJOY!!!

 First Bday...I'm shocked that I actually made that cake, complete with a 3d Bear on top!!!

 2nd birthday...must have spent too much time of the 1st birthday cake, because this one was store bought

 6th birthday...HA HA!!!!  I just had to throw this picture into the mix. Every time I see it, it cracks me up.  Austin's going to hate me someday for taking this picture.

7th Birthday...soccer themed party and I guess I was just lazy because I just made plain cupcakes for them.

Happy Birthday Boys!!!!  We love you more and more each day.  We pray that God will continue to bless you as you become your own special person.

Fun Times with Great Friends

Yesterday we got back from a jam packed weekend of fun times with great friends.  We headed up north to Great Wolf Lodge on Friday.  We decided to leave right from school after seeing the weather forecast for upwards of 15 inches in the Traverse City area.  We made it to Cadillac before we head any precipitation...then it was a slow go until we made it to the lodge.

We woke up Saturday morning to lots of snow...

 We spent lots of time at the waterpark...I guess that's understandable seeing how that's what GWL is all about.

 Saturday night we gathered for pizza,

 then we celebrated the March birthdays with cupcakes...here are 3 of the birthday peoples

 Sunday morning, we went across the street to Flap Jack for breakfast...no small feat for a group of 28 people.

 Just before we left, we had to take a couple mandatory pictures.

We had a great time, great fellowship and made tons of new memories.  Can't wait to see what next for our group.  :)
