Airing our Dirty Laundry

Yesterday was laundry day...not my favorite thing to do, but it has to get done.

and here are the stats for yesterday work load - 10 loads which can be broken down as follows:

25 pairs of shorts
26 pairs of pants (jeans, church pants, etc.)
15 long sleeve shirts (this doesn't include the ones that went into the ironing pile)
30 short sleeve shirts
5 Sweatshirts
20 sets of Pj's
19 boxers
2 Winter coats
2 stocking hats
5 sets of socks. (haven't gotten to the white load yet, that will add about 40 more pairs.)

and that's just for the boys, and I went into Brendan's room late last night and saw that his floor was still covered with clothes (he suppose to clean up his room and bring the dirty clothes down to the laundry room.) So basically you are looking at a list of clothes for 3 kids...WOW!!!

and it's going to start all over in a few days. Why oh why do my kids have to wear so many clothes? and now I have a pile of ironing calling my name - wonder if I will get to it today.

Noah's Ark Cookies

For the twin's grandparents day, I made Noah's Ark cookies for a snack. The kids and the teachers loved them.

I thought this was a cool pic of all the different color frostings.
I had a ton of extra frosting so I made cupcakes and the twins got to enjoy them for an afternoon snack.

Preschool Grandparents Day

On April 23, the twins got to invite their gramas and grandpas to school for grandparents day. The class had a short program first, where they resighted some of the memory verse and peoms they had learned through out the year and they sang lots of songs. I'm not sure what Austin's problem was, but he wanted nothing to do with singing and doing the motions.

Lucas doing the motion to L is for Lizzy Lizard.

It's not a great pic, but it shows Austin not doing what everyone else was doing.

Lucas on the drums

He was so excited that He was Special Person of the Day and got to bang on the drums.

Soccer

Soccer season is upon us again and Brendan is still loving it.

Brendan

Brendan and Drew at Kick off.

Connor Sprau throwing the ball in.

Connor kicking a goal kick.
I hope the balls on the other side of the field, cause it doesn't look like Drew's paying attention to the game. :)

Brendan going after the ball.

I'm not sure what Brendan's doing in this pic.
Waiting to re-start the game.

I had snack the firstgame this spring and I made the boys soccer jersey cookies. I think they turned out good.

I really need to enjoy this soccer year, because next year is going to getting alot busier. I will have three boys in soccer - I can't wait. One good thing I have going for me though is the twins will be on the same team.

"Mommy, I need to go Potty."

So it's that time when I need to start potty training Connor....not my favorite thing in the world. But he's at that point where he doesn't like a wet or dirty diaper and wants to wear underwear. Sunday morning, Connor was on and off the pot about 15 times in 45 minutes, and every time the winter hat, shoes, pants, socks and diaper needed to come off and needed to go back on. He only peed once.
Wish me luck.

Connor sitting on the pot.
enjoying his award.

Let's keep up the good work, Connor.

a bit of hope on this cold day

So this morning I woke up to snow blanketing the some what green grass. It didn't really make a great start to my day. but I am bound and deteremined not to let it hurt my day. So I started the coffee pot, got a sweatshirt and turned on the portable heater in my sewing room.

Then I notice a few signs of spring out the window, so I ran outside to get a couple pics. I hope these simple signs of spring will brighten everyone's day.

He strikes again.

I hardly even had the post from this morning finished, when I found this.
He decided to mix salt and jam together....bad combination.

Now I need to remember to add salt and jam to my grocery list.

Butt Cream or Finger Paint?

Well, my kids are at it again, this time it's Connor. Last night as I was ready to leave for choir practice, I need to quickly run upstairs and the next thing Mike heard was "CONNOR!!!!!!!" Of course, Mike came running and Connor starting crying from his room.
and then this conversation between Mike and Connor:
m; " Connor did you do this?"
c: "because."
m: "Connor, why did you do this?"
c: "because." (at least this way makes sense.)
m "Connor, you know you aren't suppose to touch this right?"
c: "because."
m: "You better go to your room."
and off Connor went into his room.
(I still have not figured out why he thinks the answer "because" works for all questions.)
That's when I really needed to go so I wasn't late. and I left Mike to clean it up. Thank You!!!!

(he had some nice 3-d effects going on)

So between this and the smash and splat mess, (broken jar of applesauce) and the three bowls of Frosted Flakes and milk thrown in the sink this morning(for no reason), there's really not much going on in our house. Please keep in mind that the same kid did all of these.
We will see what today brings.
