Wanted: Yours and Everyone elses Advice

When the words, Desitin and couch, are in the same sentence it's not a good thing.

This morning I was working on one of my many projects and Lucas came into the kitchen. "Mom, Austin is naughty." Next, came Austin with a tube of desitin and smears of the butt cream all over his shirt and face. For some reason he likes to eat the stuff.

I didn't think too much of it, but I did get the tube of butt cream away from him and decided to check the toy room over to see where else it landed. You guessed it - the couch!!!!!!

So if you have any experience with butt cream in the couch or carpet, please advice me on how to get this stuff out. I already tried the carpet cleaner, that doesn't work. Now you know why we nicknamed him - Naughty Nick.

Sometimes I would like to stick a 'Kid for Sale' sign in my front yard and I would probably give them away for pretty cheap, but then want them back like 30 minutes later. LOL. I really do love my boys, but some of the stuff they come up with.... They must get that from Mike.

  2. In case you wondered, that was Dan. He loves it when kids are naughty.

Oh, Cara, I wish I had some advice for you!! Is this the same couch that suffered the attack of the Baby Lotion too??

  3. First to Danno - anytime you want him he's yours.

Luckily it's not the same couch. It's the couch in the toy room so I wasn't as upset as I was about the lotion, even though I can't get the butt cream out. I didn't have to send him to his room before I did something I would regret.

  4. Oh my word. That stuff is so hard to get out of anything. It is even hard to get off of my hands when I use it with Kayden.

    Made me chuckle though!

  5. I would try that hand cream that guys use to get grease off their hand...not the orange gritty stuff...but there is another kind. Little white, round tub. Its worth a try...you definetly need something with grease fighting capabilities.

    Good Luck!!

  6. I haven't checked your blog lately, but had to laugh out loud when I read this entry! Not the laughing AT you kind of laugh, but the laughing, cuz I feel really bad for you, and would kill my own children if they did such a thing . . .

Faith once finger painted the entire front of her dresser with butt cream . . . although it was a huge mess, it cleaned up a whole lot nicer than it would have on carpet.

I don't have any advice on how to get it out . . . good luck!
